Peter Straub’s dark, unsettling novella The Process (is a Process All Its Own), published by Subterranean Press in 2017. The story returns to Tillman “Tilly” Hayward, the serial killer previously encountered in Straub’s The Skylark and A Special Place, blending psychological horror with the strange and supernatural.

This is the signed, numbered limited first edition, one of only 750 hardcover copies produced, with this copy numbered 448/750 and signed by Peter Straub on the limitation page. The original publication price was $40.

Condition: Near Fine/Fine. From the photos, this is a very clean copy. Boards are sharp and clean, binding tight, page block clean and bright, and the illustrated dust jacket retains excellent color with only very minor handling/storage wear. No obvious tears, significant rubbing, or major defects visible.
